Taking a minute β€¦

Just got off the treadmill, I often pray πŸ™πŸ» when running. It’s where I am learning to let much go, focus on my breathing, and my form.

I have just decided that during all the things, I am going to try to blog on Mondays and Fridays πŸ“ after or while job searching of course! πŸ˜‰

So, here goes …

I have been job searching for weeks now and have not found a thing that is β€œa go.”

Clearly we all know finding something part time, working from home, and in a field that I would like … Well, it is basically impossible!

Nice Reminder πŸ™πŸ»

Don’t get me wrong though, I will continue to look, and will continue to apply. I mean I am on the hunt now … but I need a minute!

A minute to pause, to think, and to regroup!

I am realizing, I am also having a touch of anxiety. This happens ever so often for me.

School is starting up soon as well as the Soccer ⚽️ season for our girls πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

So, this means the calendar is now packed!

I am also truly on information overload, which does not help! Thoughts are just piling on! It has just been a lot of news lately, from all angles. πŸ™πŸ»

So, as we are discussing this week’s events, I was then thinking about my workouts for the week, as in should I in the mornings vs. when we are @ the fields ⚽️, or after when we get home, etc. Someone once said, β€œWait you workout, so how busy are you?” πŸ˜‚

I just laugh, because can’t make these things up πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

So, going back to this morning (sorry type A, mind wanders, like I said) I then thought to myself, β€œman that Olympic gold medalist, Sydney, she is super fast. That girl, can ruuunnn FAST and her abs are showing it!”

(I am random like that with my thoughts! – haha)

I mean I run on average 3-5 x’s a week and I do not have abs like Sydney. Granted I have a little showing now, but I am also a mommy of 3, I am 41 vs. her 25, and I do not train like an Olympic athlete either.

– watch the full relay if you can find it, impressive!
πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…

Sooo – giving myself a little grace! πŸ˜‰

Right now too, applauding πŸ™πŸ» my healing β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή I am in the process of training/strengthening my β€œit band,” more towards my glute. This has been an ongoing issue, ever since I kicked my mile into being faster. So, now, trying to get back to a faster pace without being so sore, where I need to take a break! πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Thoughts for the day, find something that can help you pause from adulting, mentally and physically.

All are dealing with their things in life, so like I said give yourself just a little grace πŸ™πŸ»

Amazon Shopper …

#allphotos #stockphotofinds

Am I an Amazon Shopper? – Ummm YES! I am a SAHM (stay-at-home-mama) and I learned in those first years of entering into motherhood that shopping or what I knew of shopping, was just not going to be the same anymore.

Shopping for me, was always a form of therapy. As I say (one of those things that would bring me back to my cozy.)

I actually laughed when I was told about retail therapy in a marketing class, back in college, and was like, “Yes indeed, that is me!” #retailtherapy

There have been so many times, where I would head to a the local coffee shopπŸ§‹ or grab a smoothie πŸ§‰ and head right on out to the mall.

I would just browse and shop for hours πŸ’Ÿ

Back in college, I would head to the mall, by myself, with my beverage I just bought in hand. I would begin to browse, try to find my favorite pair of jeans, on sale, a mascara or lip gloss, and the latest trendy top before heading out for the night with friends.

Then there was post college, where I discovered Marshall’s.

Mylanta, my looovvveee for Marshall’s. (Squeal, I have always loved to shop!!!)

Maybe I can be a personal shopper
#georgecastanza πŸ˜‚ #ifyouknowyouknow

Thinking back to when shopping all changed for me though, I remember it vividly … #asiblogtoday

It was your average Target run and it was a few months after having our first baby girl. Husband was working and I was determined to find the old me, while now being a new mommy. (Shopping again was always a way for me to destress/declutter my mind.) So super stressed (I had ppd), I decided to venture out to go on a Target run. #runontarget

I arrived at Target, I parked, grabbed the diaper bag, my purse, the infant carrier with my sweet baby girl, placed her in the front of the cart, locked my SUV and was all ready. So, I entered into the store, went to grab some shampoo and lotions first, then the baby section, and she was doing just fine. Then I went to the baby clothes and finally made it to my section of clothes. Just as I started to browse for myself (my retail therapy), the crying began. I tried to calm my sweet baby girl, tried a paci (she never liked that darn paci), checked if she went potty, etc. No – she must be hungry, but it wasn’t her time to eat yet! (well, so I thought?)

See, I was a new mommy … and a baby in the first months (especially a baby who’s nursing is still trying to figure all out and I guess I was too?) So, flustered me (instead of going in a dressing room to feed and sooth her) I grabbed the infant carrier, my things, and left the shopping cart filled with ALL and walked right on out of Target! Most likely red in the face and super frusturated.

So, we are now in the SUV, she is still crying. I go in the back and yes, she’s hungry. So I feed her and now I am crying too. #newmommy #enjoyitall #enjoyallthethings #goessofast #tobeinmytwentiesagain

I write the above (with the awe-ness πŸ₯Ή, with all the feels πŸ₯Ή.) My life as a new mama, I certainly had many struggles. I battled with post partum depression, felt so alone, and during that time I had no clue I even had ppd because it was an anxiety form of it.

It is so sad, truly, when I look back! πŸ˜”

Now, let me say, I eventually did figure all out. Praise God. I learned to shop with all 3 of our baby girls πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’— and to be honest enjoyed it most of the time.

(Not exactly the retail therapy that I once knew though.) #thesocialmediafacade

My love for Amazon though, began after our 3rd little blessing from above came into this world. That’s right, it took this mama in having three (3) babies to realize shop online! πŸ˜‰

I found my fashion finds often on Amazon. Even home decor, bedding, outside decor, girls clothes, Birthday presents, etc.

Fall Amazon #stockphotofinds

Don’t get me wrong, I now of course will fit in a Marshall’s or Target run from time to time (clearly, but not too often because they are little girls who want all the things.) πŸ˜‚ #skincare #trends #thankssocialmedia #littlegirlsandtheirskincare #namebrands #moneytree

To end this blog post, if you have a friend who works at Amazon and is a delivery driver?

Trust me, they know this house! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

#amazonshopper #itistrue #thisamazonguy #jeffyouareagenius #thankssomuch #anamazonshopper

To work-out …

I am convinced that part of my type A personality is also some type of attention disorder. I mean it’s been 24+ hours of going back and forth with this blog! πŸ˜‚

I’ll be honest, I can sit here and job search and then begin a blog, then an idea comes to my mind in changing up my IG story posts, so I then am on IG looking @ something, which then brings me to amazon, and then I am like wait, pause, go finish your blog! πŸ˜‚

So, let me begin, many know that I am into health and fitness. I have dabbled in this for years, but have taken it on more seriously in the last year. (Actually, often think about, becoming certified or continuing some education in certain health and fitness fields. However, this is touch and go thing, so we’ll see?)

With my fitness routines, I now balance cardio (my runs and plan to get some 5k’s in with my fitness group this Fall) I am also into strength training now too, still learning of course. I do love it though, it’s my sanity πŸ™πŸ»

I am on this program that has taught a ton about fitness, and even about foods, inflammatory foods, etc.

They need to add a β€œfemale and hormones” section though, because for me this has always been a thing. Like currently, cramps, slight headache, bloated, and all the β€œblah” things, so working out is a negative. Sometimes I can push through (which helps) and other times, just canNOT!

Thinking of my meals for the rest of the week because I try to stay on point with all, and love how I feel when I am, but during hormonal times. It’s all about comfort foods! Such as GF gnocchi, GF Cauliflower Pizza, etc. Since, confirming Celiac Disease, I am in the process of healing my gut. So, comfort foods now, are on the healthier side and home cooked.

Was just saying, that I don’t think I will be getting a workout in the rest of the week and for me, that’s totally okay! πŸ’ͺ🏼

Female woes, as I say!

All the things β€¦

~ all pictures are off of google

Onto another few hours of job searching, coffee β˜•οΈ too!

Like I have said to quite a few, working part-time, remote, and in a field you want, is not the easiest find.

Something is out there though, possibly that is, and in the mean time I’ll continue to just search, apply, and maybe interview (and then today, workout.) πŸ˜‰

Mondays I always try to get back onto a schedule and begin our routines, I am beginning all for our girls too. Does anyone else get all the nerves as we are anticipating Fall? πŸ“

For me and us, I know there’s all the changes, and our busyness goes into full effect!

I have always been the type to think too, but around this time (every year actually,) thinking goes into crazy status. I think being a female and a mommy adds to this. Just yesterday, a man and a friend said, men are different compared to women. It’s crazy because there’s more truth to that one statement than EVER!

Thinking all the things today, so job searching, coffee, going to try to get my run in or maybe a walk and a workout (female woes) so frustrating!

So, here is the deal β€¦

I job search a few hours in the morning 3/4 x’s a week. Usually before I work-out. Today though, I just applied to a Marketing Assistant job today, but it could be a negative too.

As many know from reading possibly, and from chatting with me, or asking others, I am still working @ CozyStyling and Scentsy here at home. I am just taking a detour (for lack of better words), basically in a season of change, so now doing group orders only with CozyStyling. Feel free to contact me for pricing.

And with Scentsy, it is just a thing that this house enjoys, (the scents I can smell that is, still not a 100% ever since Covid) praise God though, I am healing πŸ™πŸ» However, I put in Scentsy orders monthly and assist those who host Basket Parties. I can explain further if your interest is peaked. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to order any Scentsy.

For the Host for Basket Parties

Back to part-time, working from home (remote) this isn’t the easiest to find. Clearly there’s a lot of sales positions, strictly commission. That’s a negative for this gal, and some of the fields that I am interested in, I may have to get further certifications? It’s just going to take time!

One of my besties brought up a β€œlight bulb” of an idea though. Which, we are truly thinking about because honestly, I have the hours since I am looking for something part-time. So, we are a 90% running with this. Keep you posted, if it is a GO! πŸ’‘

However, it is the weekend, my hubby is @ the fields ⚽️ helping with the set-up of the fall season ⚽️ then it’s yard work. I’m home with the girls, sipping on my coffee β˜•οΈ and thinking of all the things. texts are coming in, and job recommendations too. I am about to head out and pick up bagels πŸ₯― for the girls @ a local bagel shop and make a smoothie for myself.

Weekends, I on average rest from my workouts, it just depends on how I am feeling. My husband feels I should continue looking in the health and fitness realm. Which, I am considering, but we will have to see?

That’s all for now, Happy Weekend.

Giving blogging a go, again! πŸ˜‰

Here goes, onto another blog post …

As I continue to job search, and as CozyStyling “group orders” are coming in today, wanted to blog quickly about something random.

  • please note all pictures in this blog are off of google

Firstly, let me pause with, as much as I dislike social media and I certainly do (You know I am speaking to almost all who are reading this!) Oddly, I like Social Media too! Can I get an, “I agree with you Jennifer!”

Within 24 hours since I last blogged and shared my first blog post in awhile, the amount of responses I received. It’s just awesome, not that anything is a go for “working part-time” as of yet.

Well, besides CozyStyling and Scentsy that is …

However, I just hung up the phone with my bestie and an idea is @ bloom. So, we shall see?

So, I took a break and now talking the things. More specifically, the Friday things …

I woke up this morning, jumped on the tread, battling female woes (aka PMS), but still pushed forward and got in 4 miles. It felt great and was needed! Sushi dinner is the plan for tonight!

Then I took a pause this afternoon, after eggs and avocado, and female woes (like I said), but a bit better because of my run. I decided to do a little amazon shopping.

Currently some of the things that caught my attention today. A water bottle for one, I love a new water bottle. Right now I am in search of a white or black 20/24 oz. water bottle. Something that can easily go on the treadmill. I mean I love my Stanley, I have had mine, since before Stanley’s became a thing. However, it’s a little heavy at times during running.

and Voila – I found one, check it out!

I also added a new workout outfit that I found on pinterest to my Amazon cart too. This picture sold it for me. See, I am a marketers dream!

The final thing I added to my cart was a mixer, this is for my matcha tea mainly. I am over purchasing $5 matcha teas. So, time to start making my own. If you are also a matcha tea drinker. Let me know your favorite brands and Starbucks doesn’t count because it’s mainly sugar.

Happy Friday, trying to kick all the yucky things!

Part Time Job Search

I am looking for something part-time in the β€œworking world” and looking for something remote. I know what many say, β€œgood luck with that!”

I see you all πŸ‘€ and hear you too! πŸ€”

Onto my part-time job search, I have about twenty (20) hours a week where I am able to work from home, part-time. I did the @ home businesses off and on for years and gave them a decent go, but for me they are just not worth it!

As I say, β€œthe juice isn’t worth the squeeze.”

CozyStyling was a lot of fun, started out as a jewelry business for Alanna & her sisters too (which was fun, like I said), but quickly became just me designing jewelry, so we took a pause. Then I moved CozyStyling into designing tshirts, (which again was fun.) However, with only me taking all on, looking at the numbers. It just wasn’t a continued go. With the orders (again, thank you all) the designing, the weeding (cricut wording), the heat pressing, the packaging, the hours, and then the books. After running the numbers a few times, it just wasn’t worth my time.

So, we now will only be doing group orders moving forward with CozyStyling. If anyone is interested in a group order/team order, please let me know? Orders of 12 or more will be screen printed 🀍 and orders less than 12 will be heat pressed with image transfers.

Years ago I did a Mommy blog, (when I first became a mommy), goal was to go into the couponing world, but then it turned into a dear diary, so that blog stopped.

I was looking at the time, for something that could bring in a little money as a stay-at-home mommy. So, I then began making wreaths. It all started because I actually made one for our home (see below) because I figured better than spending $75-$100? I posted my latest “little something” and orders began coming in, which JLB Creative Creations and an Etsy Shop began. This too was fun, but having three (3) children, four (4) years old and under (the busyness), and my husband getting a raise, we decided to close down JLB Creative Creations.

During all of this, bringing in the extra income was such a blessing. More recently, it’s still a blessing, but going back to work now is more so, because I went to college and graduated with a dual degree in business and marketing. I have been blessed to be a stay-at-home mommy for over thirteen (13) years though. Praise God πŸ™πŸ»

With my babies now all in school. I have some hours where I can work. I am also into health and fitness, which I have shared my running on social media story posting. This is another topic of adding on, get certified/maybe a career, but it is a touch and go with discussion. So, stay tuned!

However, right now just looking for something part-time, mainly in marketing fields, or even scheduling, organizing information, etc.

I am also a Scentsy Consultant, so below is my direct link to my August party that’s up and running … you can always contact me if you have any questions?

https://jenniferbendas.scentsy.us/party/18515104/summer

I actually may blog again too (as you are reading my latest), and as I am job searching, looking into blogging, and seeing how I can make money writing on a blog.

The world is my oyster right?

New Year – 2024

Hey there, okay so it’s been awhile … a long while.

Life and all the things are busy! So, I apologize that I have taken a break, but HERE I am!

I would like to get back into blogging in 2024. Don’t know how long I’ll last, but it is one of the things that is on my list of tweaking.

So, what’s been new? Well, I have a little side business now, called CozyStyling. I will possibly go the LLC route @ some point, just not right now.

CozyStyling is something I officially started (after years and years of thinking about it.) Now I am able to utilize my college degrees, while mommying still, but I am now working from home (I mean I did spend 10’s of thousands of dollars on college) and it’s something to keep me even busier in this life! 🀣

In all honesty, I do love it, but like most things, β€œchange” is always a thing. I am changing up some things moving forward in this New Year because busyness can get a little much with our already busy schedules.

So, stay tuned with all of that, and here is just some of my CozyStyling Orders.

I also have taken up health and fitness, in more of a structured way now. Thinking of taking this even more seriously. May get certified as an instructor of some sort. We’ll see? Health is HUGE when it comes to fitness and as I get older, my body clearly has reacted to much. I now eat Clean mostly always and cannot tell you how much better I feel.

Stay tuned because I will be blogging about this more. My before and now’s!!! I have been into this since August and I find myself becoming more and more passionate about it! I am learning currently about proper stretching after my workouts because I am having flare ups and muscle knotting! πŸ™πŸΌ

Yes, took on the tread too, while in pajamas & loved it!!! 🀣

So, so long for now … Have to get my workout in and order materials! πŸ’Ÿ

It’s been a little bit β€¦

Okay, it’s been a lot of a bit …

Honestly, I do not have a huge reason as to why?

Yes, I am busy … (well, we ALL are busy) but that’s the norm for all of us anymore, so I am over saying that πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‰ so, hmmm πŸ€”

Let me start with the fact that we are now into the new year – 2023 to be exact. Us, over here, we started up CozyStyling πŸ’Ÿ again, and cannot believe it is March already.

I got the designing down, material orders, etc. Orders are getting done … still deciding on a website, because as of now, no to Etsy and working on the packaging too.

The office space is to come in the next few months! πŸ’Ÿ but we are running with it and so very thankful too!!! πŸ™πŸΌ

Just an idea, want something warm, and β€œcozy,” and cheery too πŸ˜‰

Still, much to learn, but we are getting there! #newyearnewyou #newthings #newbeginnings

So, why did I/we start this up again? Well, if you follow me at all in this Social Media world. I have done many things …

Along with being a SAHM, I was a Cheer coach (twice), have had an Etsy business, side business – JLB Creative Creations, I was a mommy blogger, became a Scentsy Consultant, and then a blogger again (which hi πŸ‘‹πŸ» by the way), then Etsy take 2, as well as a PTA board member, now back to Scentsy again (not that I stopped – just loss my smell due to Covid we believe), and now back to this Small Business – CozyStyling πŸ’Ÿ

… and maybe a website we are leaning towards πŸ˜‰ and as you see, back to blogging πŸ“ (here and there that is πŸ˜‰)

So, why though?

Well, I, as a mama, and as a gal, have always wanted my own thing; aside from all of my mommy duties and wifey duties.

You see … I am a college graduate with a dual degree in Business and Marketing. However, when we got pregnant, we decided I would be a stay-at-home mommy and what a blessing indeed!!! Wouldn’t change it for the world, so very thankful!!! πŸ™πŸΌ but, now that our babies are a little older, I am able to work part time again … I decided to sign on as a Scentsy Consultant (3 years ago) and yes, I am still a Scentsy Consultant (but Scentsy is now slower, ever since Covid) … so here we are with CozyStyling. I’ll post a few pics below … and follow us on IG and FB too! πŸ˜‰

Follow us in this journey, (again on FB and IG @ CozyStyling.) Plan to move much to our own website soon too. So, message me, text me, and of course stay tuned, we’d love to create that little something just for you!!! πŸ₯°

New Year, New Beginnings β€¦

Firstly Happy New Year πŸŽ†

So, let’s just say, β€œMy lanta!” … that’s how it’s been since the Summer (longer actually, but blogging wasn’t on my mind AT ALL, since the Summer.) As you all know, the busyness as a parent, well … yeah let’s just say β€œyeah!”

We need to remember to pause and to breathe more so (that’s one of my new goals this New Year.)

I am starting this morning off, sipping on coffee, reflecting, snuggling with one of my little loves … just thinking, and praying, planning, organizing and getting back into the groove with health and fitness.

It’s a New Year after all, so new beginnings.

The above collage is just a reminder of it’s a New Year, so new goals, new beginnings, etc.

I began getting back into working out before the New Year, just because too much pressure to put on myself as a β€œNew Year Resolution.” So, I am only a few days into it, but here we go again.

However, wanted to hop on and say, heyyy!!! I am going to try to blog more in 2023.

I am dealing with some stuff right now. Just things with loved ones, and other things that I’ll say β€œan unspoken prayer request,” so if you are a prayer. If you could say an extra prayer for me, please! πŸ™πŸΌ
